Privacy Policy

Last Updated: June 2026

Overview

This Privacy Policy describes how the AI Browser QA Tester Chrome Extension ("the Extension") handles information.

Your privacy is important to us. The Extension is designed to operate primarily on your local device and does not collect, store, or transmit your browsing data to the developer's servers.

Information Collection

The Extension does not collect, store, transmit, sell, or share personal information with the developer.

Specifically:

  • No user accounts are required.

  • No personal information is collected.

  • No browsing history is collected by the developer.

  • No website content is transmitted to the developer.

  • No analytics or tracking technologies are used.

  • No crash reporting or telemetry is included.

Local Data Storage

The Extension stores data locally within your browser to provide its functionality.

This may include:

  • Scan results

  • Website analysis reports

  • User preferences and settings

  • Saved screenshots

  • Custom rules and configurations

  • Scan history

All such data is stored locally on your device using browser storage mechanisms such as IndexedDB or Chrome Storage APIs.

The developer does not have access to this data.

AI Features

The Extension includes optional AI-powered features.

AI functionality is disabled by default unless explicitly used by the user.

When using AI features:

  • The user may provide their own API key for a supported AI provider.

  • Supported providers may include Anthropic, OpenAI, or other user-selected providers.

  • Data is sent directly to the selected AI provider only when the user explicitly requests AI analysis.

  • The developer does not receive, store, process, or have access to any data sent to AI providers.

  • The developer does not proxy, inspect, or log AI requests.

Users are responsible for reviewing the privacy policies and terms of any AI provider they choose to use.

Chrome Built-in AI Features

If the Extension uses AI capabilities provided directly by the Chrome browser, data handling is governed by Google Chrome's applicable policies and settings.

The Extension does not receive access to any data beyond what is necessary to provide the requested functionality.

Permissions

The Extension requests only the permissions necessary to perform website analysis and quality assurance testing.

These permissions are used solely to provide the features described within the Extension.

Data Sharing

The Extension does not:

  • Sell user data

  • Share user data with advertisers

  • Share user data with data brokers

  • Transfer user data to the developer's servers

  • Use data for advertising purposes

Third-Party Services

The Extension does not include third-party analytics, advertising, tracking, or telemetry services.

If the user chooses to connect an external AI provider, any data sent is transmitted directly to that provider under the user's control.

Data Retention

Because data is stored locally on the user's device, users may remove stored data at any time by:

  • Clearing Extension data

  • Removing the Extension

  • Clearing browser storage

Security

The Extension is designed to minimize data exposure by processing information locally whenever possible.

No guarantees can be made regarding the security of third-party AI providers selected by the user.

Children's Privacy

The Extension is not directed toward children under the age of 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time.

Any updates will be reflected by revising the "Last Updated" date at the top of this document.

Contact

For questions regarding this Privacy Policy, users may contact the developer through the extension's support page or listed contact information.
